Cab tractor cost

Wow I can't wait to get to the farm show!!!!! I'm not aware of those makes introducing Anti-stall or auto throttle on there tractors! I haven't seen that they have added anything close to a hi-low to there tractors either not counting being able to adjust the sensitivity of the hydro from from the drivers seat!!!!

I know that every tractor company out there is advancing fast but I didn't realize how fast!

jeesh... i guess those minor few items, which there are quite a few people posting that there not too thrilled with some of the times, sure weren't worth the $5,500 more (for a 3240 cab)that my local Kubota dealer wanted for a similar tractor as the one i ended up buying. JD wanted $11,877 more for their 4320 similarly equipped). Oh and the 3240 is less horsepower - 34hp vs 45 hp .

Maybe if the other orange and green get their prices in line with reality i would have left them in the competition when it came time to buy.

At least Kioti sees fit to include the useful items like rear lights, rear wipers, rear remotes, an outside accessible 3 point lift control, a Radio with MP3 adaptor.... or did the others simply like making these options

Any chores you do that require a lot of on and off get very annoying with the cab. I like having a 25-35hp open station utility tractor around for all of those jobs. Post holes/ fencing are another job like that.

What is not worth $5,500 to one may be worth it to another. It "appears" the sticking point was "they all seemed similar if not near identical... except for a few minor things". Again what is minor to one is significant to another and we all get to make that judgement.

If there was one "best" tractor, we would probably all own it.

well thats true, but i do get tired of all the only my brand is best..the rest are all copies.. attitude i get from a particular poster.

I tried and i like alot of stuff from different brands, and i dont say one is the end all to be all. Never have and never will.

Yeah, I pretty much "like them all too" and we own/have owned different brands.

My Kubota 5030 doesn't have the HST+ and I originally discounted some of the features, but now think it is a pretty good system; not enough to trade in a perfectly good tractor for though. I imagine other makers will come out with something similar if they haven't already.

Like Kubota, Kioti makes nice and "nicer" models. Those with the standard models "don't get" paying extra for the "fancy" ones and the owners of the "fancy ones" can't live with the standard model.

I think my "perfect tractor" would be a Kubota/Kioti/John Deere/Massey Ferguson hybrid.

A tractor that can switch between geared ... shuttle shift.. or HST at the switch of a button would be nice also.

I do miss the road speeds of a fully geared tractor under load as opposed to the HST. But i LOVE the ability of the HST to shift as needed under load.

A hybrid would be marvelous...

If my old JD had more than 3 reverse speed ranges id have kept it. One was way too slow and one was ridiculously too fast (no torque) so that left only 1 real speed while snowblowing.

C'mon art. When he said that there were few differences between the tractors he didn't have to list everyone. And besides the ones that you point out that make Kubota look good there are plenty more that make other brands look just as good. I.E. For trenching on new John Deere 45/4720 you can get the creep to reposition so you don't have to get back in and move the tractor, Kioti having/making a killer tractor for thousands less than any comparable, and add to that killer tractor for way less than Orange (or green for that matter) Bobcat, Mahindra, TYM. We can say that all tractors have their ups and downs, no tractor (or anything else in this world for that matter) is "perfect". So we can agree that everyone buys tractors for different reasons and is the perfect tractor for them.

As for the gear/hydro, that would be pretty awesome - flick of a switch and you can change. I feel your pain on the 3 reverse speeds as well. The 5410 only has the 3 backwards, 3A, 3B, and 3C. A is ridiculously slow, B is way to fast and if you just let your foot off the clutch in C it stalls. I pile my horse manure along the fence row, then take it back into a section of the woods when it piles up enough, where I dump it though there is about a 150' steep incline, so after dumping it I either crawl up the hill in A or work the clutch trying not to stall it in B or C because it is trying to go too fast.

Yup... i sure remember the difficulties of finding the perfect speed. I liked the HST for the range of motion, but like the gear for pasture work better.

nothing is ever just perfect.
