I've build my own cabs for the 2 tractors i used to have out of angle iron and lexan, in 5 sections, that bolted togetter for easy install and uninstall. No heater, and wasnt airthight, but it definitely was better then sitting out in the open and deal with high winds.

Twenty four years for me in an open cab and snow removal . I went to an cab this year and just love it . I finished cleaning up the rest of a 12 inch storm yesterday for a couple hrs. and it was such a joy .

I am STILL waiting for my tricked out B7100d to come back from the fabrication shop with a custom made cab and goodies. Heat lights etc. Larry has been so b usy fixing NB power Equipment for which he has a contract to meet, so my tractor is way late. I do not mind, but I am getting quite curious to see it..and try it out. Larry is doing some amazing things to it to make it comfortable and more easy for me to get ion and out of the seat and the cab. I like Larry. He is a man of his word and not greedy. One of the good guys. Next Friday, Dec 12 is the latest estimate for completion. Larry has photographed every step of the build as he works. Should be interesting to TBN members, so I will try to post the pics.

I agree with having a heated, well set up cab as an absolute necessity for me. I have tried the open station, and it cost me frozen toes and an amputation, so no argument could persuade me otherwise. This tractor/blower is the secret weapon that will allow me to stay out in the country where I love it. no tractor, nor cab would mean selling out an moving into a condominium in town. Screw that idea. Rather be dead becoz I can't take my dogs there. City life really sucks IMO.

Went from open JD 790 to cabbed Kubota B3030 to Bobcat skid steer. Kubota & Bobcat with heat & A/C.
Nothing better in snow removal than doing it in sweatshirt, no gloves & Worktunes headphone radio.
Call me anything you want. But you won't call me cold or wet.
