Cab vs HP

you made a wise decision.. i opted for the cab; i do LOTS of logging on the farm, and while a few errant branches realign my mirrors, i haven't suffered any problems.

and now that black fly season is upon us, the cab is worth it's weight in blood (which you would undoubtedly loose if you were not enclosed).

I have debated this from the cab vs backhoe set-up. I cannot afford both and I really like having a BH now but feel the cab would be better investment. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The cab is the way to go. My last machine had a curtis cab, well built, warm and dry in all weather. My new machine has a factory cab & its worth the money. I make my living with my machine and after many years of open station in all the elements, its very nice to work in a dry, warm/cool, quiet environment. When i was a young buck open station was fine, now that im closing in on 44 (REALLY FAST) i wouldn't buy a machine without a cab.

I agree! Most people look at me like I'm either crazy or Superman when they find out I've been teaching Junior High and High School for 39 years and I still look forward to coming to school every day -- well, most of them anyways. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
