By the way . . Lowe's typically isn't in areas of less than 100k pop. HD 50k pop and up and Menards 25k pop. and up.
Thats not true in my area.
Mansfield OH, has a population of ~50k and has all three. (Technically they are in ontario, a 6000 pop suburb of mansfield)
Marion Ohio 36k has a lowes and menards
Mt Vernon 17k has a lowes
Marysville 22k has both HD and lowes
Newark 47k has HD and lowes
Lancaster 38k has lowes and Menards
Zanesville 25k has Lowes and HD
Chillicothe 22k has Lowes and Menards
Infact, in most of ohio, If there is either a menards or HD in town, you can count on their being a lowes. But If there is a lowes, dont always mean the other two are there...yet. In all the examples above, those are the "large" towns in the counties, not counting places like Columbus or Cleveland. So they ALL have locations in 20-25k population towns in my state. So I wouldnt say lowes sticks to 100k plus towns. If that were the case, there are only 6 cities in ohio they would be in (Cleveland, columbus, cincinnati, toledo, akron, dayton). But infact, lowes has 30+ (just doing a quick count on the map) that are outside these 100k+ cities by a fair amount
