Cad diggers

Not a digger but a 1007 FEL for a Yanmar FX24D. After completing that project I would recommend that you get your metal from MetKit (I have no affiliation) unless you have access to a shop with with the tools and the experience to fabricate. I do not and appreciated having the metal prefabbed.

They did have a platform for the 3 Pt digger already made up, and if I remember correctly it was @ $800. Call MetKit. They are very helpful. If you are in the VA area you might want to visit Salem. It is in So Western VA. Nice drive down 81 from DC.

You might want to look at the frame differences between a BX-2200 and a BX-22 before you embark on this. Kubota (and most dealers) discourage use of a BH on the BX-2200 as the stress might not be too endearing to the tractor. There is a lot of force generated by a BH, not to mention the weight that needs to be carried on the 3pt. (The BX-22 BH does not mount on the 3ph...it has a sub-frame 3pt mount)

One of the dealers I know did indicate that they sold a Kelly with a BX-2200 when a customer insisted on it, but they also made the customer sign a statement holding the dealer harmless for any resulting damage. (The buyer signed it...)

thanks for your posts. I have spent some time looking at other posts here and there and think you might be right that it would over load the 3point.

thanks for your post. I sure would like to build a digger and power it with the 2200 but not to sure how much stress the three point can take. Just don't like the idea of more engines to maintain.

How about a stand-alone digger that tows behind but uses the tractor hydraulics? You could save on not having the extra engine as well as a separate pump. Here's a stand alone that my son-in-law and I fabbed up using CadPlans:

you could build everything from the seat forward and have a neat set up.

i'm in the middle of buying a new 6 foot backhoe from a koyker dealer for $4061 and an extra bucket for $125 plus $335 for the shipping. i almost started to do the caddigger thing, but metkit gave me a price on a full kit, it was almost $3000. so i thought i would just buy the one from kroker. one nice thing that kroker dealers do. they ask about your model tractor, match it up with the right size backhoe. then they give you all the right brackets and arms to fit your tractor right. anyway with all the money and work to build the caddigger for another $600 i could just buy the koyker backhoe. so that's what i'm doing
