I agree.......we got lots of alcohol and cigarette junkies already.........a little weed ain't anything worse. Do what you want.....just don't hurt me or someone else with your choice.
alcohol and cigarettes are not to be compared with drugs, that's a common ploy to get you softened to the idea, and it worked with you... There is a major difference. HS

What is the issue that politicians will never address. HS

Getting rid of the bloated staff numbers that exist in every department and cutting wasteful spending.

You believe what you want to believe.......from a health perspective they all suck......here's some fun facts.....

Tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of disease, disability, and death in the United States. Each year, an estimated 443,000 people die prematurely from smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke, and another 8.6 million live with a serious illness caused by smoking.

Drinking too much can harm your health. Excessive alcohol use led to approximately 88,000 deaths and 2.5 million years of potential life lost (YPLL) each year in the United States from 2006 – 2010, shortening the lives of those who died by an average of 30 years. Further, excessive drinking was responsible for 1 in 10 deaths among working-age adults aged 20-64 years. The economic costs of excessive alcohol consumption in 2010 were estimated at $249 billion, or $2.05 a drink.3

The war on drugs is job security for tens of thousands of government employees........politicians will never address the issue.

Yeah, if I had my way I'd shut down an entire bowl of alphabet soup over night and the DEA and ATF would be among the first to go but certainly not the last. For a change a lot of gubberment types would get a taste of how unemployment feels. Go get a real job and do something useful for a change.

Exactly. Besides it's nobody else's business what you do to yourself. Instead of mining my business or yours and no one is stepping on anyone's toes, I want the government to do what they are supposed to do. How about protecting our borders, insuring some domestic tranquility, establish some actual justice, provide for the common defence and securing some liberty for a friggin change.

Q: How many Californians does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

A: Five - one to screw it in and four to sit in the hot tub and discuss the environmental impact.

In all seriousness, I've been to CA 4 times. All were in southern CA from late 70's to mid 2000's. I enjoyed the ocean. I enjoyed the mountains. I enjoyed the giant Sequoias. I know I saw a limited amount of the place, but my overall impression was that each time I went there it was more of a hellhole than the last time. And I know that's because I was pretty much concentrated within a 100 mile radius of LA most of the time. But even out in the area between LA, Bakersfield and the Sequoias, even the farms and ag operations depressed me. I get the same feeling in Chicago. But even in Chicago, I can drive an hour and be away from it. I gotta get to northern CA some time. Maybe fly into SF and drive north to Canada?

Several options... SF, San Jose, Oakland and head North...

Many like to head South along the coast hitting Big Sur and the towns along the way...

I really like Western Washington and Victoria/Vancouver Canada...
