You want to be able to head out there on a weekend and not have to make a big deal out of it, just jump in the truck and go. With proper planning you can make it home in no time. Owner texted me to say the generator was just to power there TV. They said they could get multiple channels there with a booster. Cell reception was like 2 bars.

Staying in. Not sure the owners have ever locked it but we asked them, just the same.

Had a long chat with the owner this am. His little generator is still out there and it did power a few lights and spoke at length about the roads condition to the cabin. Was so, so helpful.

ArlyA, by any chance, did you happen to ask the previous owner if he or anyone before him ever tried to put in a well of any kind ? If no, would it be worth your while to ask him that question ?

As stated in an earlier post, the owner said its solid rock beneath the camp so they never attempted a well. We will try to test this at a later time but to date, everything they had told us has been accurate. They used the camp for 25+ years.

Packing today and will head to camp Saturday morning with 6x6, brushing tools, camp gear and good food to grill..
