No issues with the axle on the bottom of the springs.
This is the only pic I could find that shows the fenders.
Heavy sheet metal boxes that I folded/bent with my shop press and welded up.
Have driven over them with the 900# Bolens with no problem.
Unfortunately the size of the bed makes it look more heavy duty than it actually is.
Local sand and gravel outfit overloaded it and I blew a tire on the way back to the house and the axle bent.
Straightened it with my press and still use it for light loads.
One of these days I'm hoping to put a 3500# axle under it.
