Like kthompson said, a lot of your tractors ability to operate a 6 footer depends on the weight of the implement. I run a 6ft. brush mower with a 27 horse tractor, but I only cut areas that have been previously mowed. (pasture clipping) I have found that about a half a bucket of dirt in the FEL helps the steering and stability a lot. Another thing to remember is a 6 ft. rotary is lots longer as well, so less maneuverability around fence posts and trees. I find that out more often than I care to admit. In reality, I don't think that extra foot of cut speeds things up that much, so when and if I get another one, I would buy a 5 ft. just because I believe the larger one creates a lot of extra stress on a smaller tractor...?.Dan
