Can I enlarge my FEL to haul leaves?

/ Can I enlarge my FEL to haul leaves? #11
I use my leaves for compost, my neighbors' leaves, and whoever else's will allow me to pick them up. I will have them in a pile by late November and they'll be reduced to the beautiful compost by June next year. I use them for veggy and flower beds as well as top dressing the lawns. Here's a link for more info:

Dutchman, when I had a garden plot I used the leaves and they do compost down into an amazing, pesticide free compost. I no longer have a garden, but I still have several acres of woods dropping leaves everywhere. I'd be happy to let anyone who wants to collect them come and take them awy. But until then, what leaves end up where I don't want them typically end up burned in a pile.

The only thing I miss is how good the homegrown tomatoes tasted when I grew them!

I just brought in about two bushels of not-quite-ripe maters last night. We got a heavy freeze - our first. They'll go on every window sill that momma will allow and when they are ready, I'm making spaghetti sauce! Home grown is the way to go. I tasted my first heirloom tomato from a neighbors garden. What a treat! I'm going to go that way next year.

Wish I could get your leaves. I have nine acres of former strip mine. Not much topsoil.

One seems to be able to add all sorts of things to a FEL. Like another post, I've used the holes needed for my tooth bar (and cut, via Unibit, another sets of holes behind the first set so I can really bolt stuff on tight) to hold a platform for my wife to trim trees, and also a garbage can/large branch/whatever hauler. The platform has a 2 X 6 lower frame (sticks out about 2 feet from the front of the bucket), covered by 3/4 plywood, and 2 X 4 railing, and the "whatever" is basically made of an eight foot length of 2 X 6 extending from either side of the bucket, connected with 2 X 2s every 2 feet and covered with a 1/2 sheet of plywood. Yup, you have to be careful when moving around, but it sure beats the bed of my pick-up as an all purpose short distance hauler. As far as my wife's trimming platform, it will raise easily to the full bucket height, and is great for tree trimming, fruit picking, etc - and yes, if it were the least bit unstable, she wouldn't get into it - I keep a box blade or brush cutter attached, and near the ground, to keep the center of gravity low when I'm toting my wife around, but tractor, with me, instead of my wife, bouncing on 1 side of the platform, seems oblivious.

Cisco,
Sounds like you've got a bucket truck improvised. I'd love to see a photo when you get a chance, since I've got some orchard trees and seems like this might be a good idea.

OK - it's not exactly a straightforward task, getting files from my 4MB camera down to less than 100,000 bytes, but I finally figured out how. So, one of my FEL attachments with the BOSS on board.
