Ok guys thanks for the excellent info, I am getting it for the house and just yard work, nothing I really need a backhoe for, I just want it to dig a little and carry stuff with and prob clear some snow this winter,

Now What does it weigh? a good estimate the way she sits and what size trailer do I need, Would a 20' do it

The backhoe is a 703 or 723 depending on the digging depth, roughly 10 & 12 feet. It was manufactured by Sherman Products which was later purchased by Ford. In fact the 710,713 & 715 Ford backhoes were manufactured in the same plant until manufacturing was transferred to Romeo.

I cant think of the model of the tractor but its definately Sherman equipment on it. it looks to be a good farm hoe if it has power steering. is the front axel straight?

I would guess 7-8K pounds..My 79 ford 3550 industrial weighed close to 6k pounds without a backhoe..

Not to argue with another poster, but his backhoe looks identical to my Ford 723 backhoe, which has a Wain-Roy manufacturing tag on it. They were made in 10, 12, and 14 foot digging depths, and weighed 2600-3200 lbs depending on the depth and bucket.

No argument here. Wain-Roy was the predecessor. Waino Rajala was the guy it was named after. I was just a kid so I don't know the "politics" of what all happened but Sherman Products ended up with the rights.

Like the others said, its a industrial version of the 800 series called the 18xx series or something like that.

I have a 861 and it weighs 3,500#. That loader has to weigh 1,500# and I would say the hoe is close to 3,000# so I would want a trailer and truck capable of hauling 8,000# minimum. It would not surprise me if it was closer to 10,000# if it has any weights or loaded tires.

It is not the industrial version of anything. It is an 801 series with an all purpose front axle. It is neither a light nor heavy industrial front axle. The specific model number stamped in the usual place in the clutch housing aft of the starter is quite likely to be either 811 or 821 as the tractor clearly has no lift cover, rockshaft or 3PT equipment. It likely has no PTO either. An 811 or 821 would technically be a Special Utility Tractor as defined in my 1961 version of the Ford 601 and 801 series Owner's manual. An 1801 (Heavy Industrial)would have a cast iron grille shell and completely different loader.

OK I got the serial number now from the tractor it is

821-s 117649

tractor data said no PTO or hydraulics, How does the front loader and backhoe work, was there a pump added on later for them, and is this backhoe worth getting for around the house?
