Yes I have finally come around. You are right. Global warming is all natural and 6,800,000,000 humans have nothing to do with it. I also believe Neil Armstrong didn't land on the Moon, the Earth is flat, and Barry Manilow can sing.

Barry Manilow is awsome !!!

Still doesn't explain how the Earth was cooling and now warming???

For years before I finally had my driveway done, I used to mix #2 diesel (back when it was cheap) and dirty motor oil to keep the dust down and to kill the weeds along the drive. That really did the job...if they catch you doing it now they'll lock you up and throw away the key.

Yea, but the government can still do it. How many oil roads are there out there?:confused2:

Because the climate is changing all the time - for millions and millions of years. Global warming was just a comfortable political vehicle for a politic - loser and he created world wide religion for simpletons who want to believe in something.

90% opinion = fact ???????
That's the kind of science that blew the hole in the whole Global warming conspiracy. Just think, before columbus, 90% of the scientists thought the world was flat. OK, the world is now flat by virtue of the 90% rule. :D

FWIW, I personally don't try to unsave the environment, I just don't personally believe the hype about an unproven theory. One thing is certain, in the end, the world will end by global warming.

I just read over the weekend a projection for the population in China for this century.

By the middle of the century the Chinese population will peak and then by the end of the century drop to 750 million. Why? Because just like every other country that becomes developed the population growth stops. People can CHOOSE to limit the size of the family and the economics of family size reverse so that small families are better money wise compared to large.

China is actually worried at this point about the gender ratio they have because of forced one baby families and cultural preferences for boys. They now have more boys than girls. In a few decades they will have 300 million young men and 250 million young women. The real concern is what kind of trouble will 50 million men get into without having women to keep them busy?

Europe, Russia, Taiwan, Japan and ROK have declining population growth.

The US population is stable if once discounts illegal immigration other wise the our population is slightly growing.

Once the developing world develops then their population will level off as well. On the other hand I think parts of Africa have or will have population decline due to HIV.

Of course the environmentalists have all been about killing off people for years. Don't believe me? Go look up DDT and malaria. Malaria kills millions of people around the world every year. Mostly kids under the age of five or six. The US and Europe do not have Malaria because we used DDT to wipe it out. Greenies don't want to use DDT to prevent Malaria which kills babies to supposedly protect the environment.

The decision has been made in developed nations which are free of Malaria to allow kids to die in developing countries so we can "protect" the environment. Harsh statement but it is true.

I no longer get the National Geographic magazine. Over the years it become more and more politicized. The straw the broke the camels back was when they had an entire issue about Malaria. They devoted a sentence or two about the controversy over DDT usage. They editors were just afraid to go up against Environmental Dogma going back to Carson.

Later,
Dan

The thing is that because of environmentalism we have made some strides in cleaning up some of the mess man has made. We had acid rain here in the northeast because of the mess from coal fired power plants in the midwest. You could see it how it was killing tress in the mountains with your own eyes. That is not as bad now because they have been forced to clean up their act somewhat.

I remember walking along the Charlies River in Boston in the 70's and you could actually smell the industrial pollution coming out of it. It was foul. That has been cleaned up, you could actually swim in it now.

There are other examples around the country but those are the ones I have seen. When a natural system gets overloaded because of man's misuse of it, it will recover if we stop abusing it. But the change is tough, industry just wants to keep doing what it doing and so does everyone. But something will happen good or bad eventually with the CO2 we put in the atmosphere. Yep, I'm afraid there is an effect whether we like it or not.
