Humans don't want to hear the truth about overpopulation. That's understandable since within all life forms is the inherent, instinctual need to procreate. Global warming is a fact and within the mainstream scientific community it is an acknowledged fact that humans are the cause. Should we start killing people? No, that would be rather extreme and it would be difficult to find volunteers. However we could reduce the population through natural attrition. Unfortunately that would require a birth control policy on the global scale so it will not happen. In this century Mother Earth is going to make the "adjustment" for us and it isn't going to be pretty. It's ironic and a shame that humans have the intelligence to recognize the problem, know the solutions, but lack the will to act.

Darn it, now we have to figure out how to install scrubbers on volcanoes. This saving the environment thing has boggeled my mind. Arrrgh, all lost.

I'm out $6K in paint booth modifications and equipment upgrades because a huge, collective "Earth Fart" has created a hole in the ozone...who's going to repair the hole left in my wallet? I had one of you "Earth Friendly" types come by looking for a part time job...horrible body odor, matted hair, unshaven and hadn't bathed in God knows how long...if I could smell him over the automotive grade paint fumes and with all of the booth and shop ventilation going I knew I didn't want him sitting in the office with me at lunchtime. I passed.

Chances are pretty good some folks in Iceland would not mind if those with "Passion" could stop their recent volcano from erupting.

Global warming is a fact and within the mainstream scientific community it is an acknowledged fact that humans are the cause.

That is highly debatable, especially after the recent hacked emails from the "leading" global warming scientists proving they tried to coverup the recent decline in global temps.

There are just as many scientists that do NOT acknowledge that global warming is real as there are is that do..
There is no concrete evidence that proves without a doubt that humans are the cause of ANY climate change ( atleast not what I have ever seen) . Therefore it is NOT a fact that humans are the cause, only "Theory".

It's amazing how people accept unproven theories as facts.

I have found that my book keeping and inventory software will allow me to generate "bell curve" charts that are much more professional in appearance than the one you've posted...now, If you will give me some numbers to punch in I will produce a "population adjusted" chart that reflects your predicted "adjustment" from Mother Earth in this century. This will be a step by step process, so let's start with a solid baseline; First, tell me how many hippies you would like eliminated?:laughing::laughing:

If the planet has been changing "since the beginning" how could we have had a hand in that change? we were no where to be found. SO, if it was changing on its own then why is it NOT changing on its own now?

The debate is - how much do we impact change?

People don't want to accept the scientific evidence which is actually pretty concrete that the Earth's climate is warming due to the millions of tons of CO2 we put in the atmosphere. More than the natural system can handle. I guess I can't really blame them because it means a change that people don't really want to contemplate. They won't be able to keep on doing everything they are doing as far as lifestyle. As long as it doesn't come in their lifetime I think there are a fair amount of people that don't want to know about it. If you deny it strongly enough and try to dismiss and humiliate the liberal, academic, over educated scientists that are working on a complex problem with a lot more experience, tools and knowledge about the climate than the Fox News network, it might go away. Good luck with that. But change is coming whether we like it or not.

Here comes my lashing!
