Cannot find correct PTO shaft replacement.

If the bearing is ok and not completely loose on the shaft I'd suggest pressing it back in place and have a collar machined with a interference fit to the shaft. You'll need to verify there are no interference with other parts in the rear-end then Heat the collar and drop in place against bearing race. This is a common method of retaining axle bearings on Ford 9" automotive rear ends.

Based on the photo, I suspect this is not the first time it failed, the ding marks are likely a attempt to lock the bearing in place by peening with a chisel.

If this is the only issue with the shaft I'm sure a good machine shop could repair for a hours labour.
Good eye! ... Thats not a remanent groove.

This seems to be my next course of action.
Be careful; any further "groove" may cause the shaft to crack there. ... Instead,

,,,,Press that bearing back in place using a light coating of Loctite 635 retaining compound on the shaft. Work the product under the bearing inner race also before pressing to final position. Wipe off excess and cure for a day warm, then 2 days at 150F before service. The compound retention strength is 4500 psi.

Alternately, or also if theres room have a machined collar made that slip fits the shaft. Use the locktite to hold it against the bearing to block movement.

I'd look at the back of the bearing carrier to see if it has a location for a large snap ring to fit an id of the rear of the carrier
