This tractor is so beat that the serial numbers are almost un recognizable. Due to the sheet metal, it makes me believe it is an early diesel (65-66 or so) but even then, I have looked through every part number for a Ford 2000 PTO shaft and none are correct, either too long or wrong input spline. Thank yall for the help and comments so far.
sounds like you tried this:
Shaft, PTO rear. Length 29-1/2", 6 & 10 spline. For 2000, 2310, 231, 233, 234, 2600, 2610, 2810, 2910, 3000, 333, 334, 335, 3600, 3610, 3910, 531 (Part No: C5NNA728A)
to the OP.. are yo sure it is an 8spd and not a 6 sped?
