I see in some photos posted by you guys that you have canopies on your tractors. Is one available for my BX23? And if so, from where? Is installation by the "non-mechanically inclined" possible? Thanks.

I ordered a Kubota canopy from the dealer for my BX22.
Installation is a breeze. Just need a drill and sockets.
It keeps the sun and weather off of you.

the kubota canopy is plastic and a bit flimsy. It would need to be removed before going down the highway on a trailer.

If i did it over I would probably buy a more durable metal one.

Are you looking for a hard canopy or will a soft sunshade do for your purposes??
Curtis makes a sunshade which mounts to the ROPS (or at least the brackets do). The shade mount is 1" tubing and slides easily in and out of the mount, so you can remove the shade when you need to fold the ROPS. I can send more details if this would be of interest.

GASP! Did you have to drill the ROPS? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Drilled 'n Tapped!

I also have the Kubota canopy and I love it! It attaches to the ROPS via two u-bolts, it takes about 10 min to install but you will need two people to lift it into place. The canopy is not heavy, just awkward. I think it’s fiberglass, not plastic but I’m not positive. It seems to be made very well.

I have a BX2230 but I hear they are the same canopy, mine cost $385.

Femco makes the OEM Kubota canopy but I didn't like it since I needed on that was removable for towing. It can be removed but not as easily as the Femco Tuff Top. http://tinyurl.com/3oqbn I have one and will be installing it shortly.

AMR,
I had a Kubota factory canopy on my B2150 and it worked great. Kubota recommends to back the tractor on the trailer when transporting. I think TSC sells just about the same canopy at a pretty good price. Most of the canopies that I saw all fasten onto the ROPS via 2 u-bolts with no drilling required.

Tomnky,

Both are very nice! If you don't mind, what was the cost?
