Can't connect Pioneer fitting from my EA grapple to the tractor?

/ Can't connect Pioneer fitting from my EA grapple to the tractor? #21
I tried that but the ball ends (male) are on the tractor side which as it turns out is not under pressure, it's the attachment. But thanks to all for your advice, I had to crack both fittings on the grapple to connect them but they're on. I've not had this occur before but knowing my luck it will again so I think I'll order the XBoom QC-Mate just to have on hand.
Glad you got it going. Thanks for reporting back:)

Best,

ed

Any time you disconnect an implement and the weather turns warmer (or it just sits in the sun) this will occur. It's just a demonstration of Boyle's Law; Any fluid in a closed container that is heated will rise in pressure. Hence my earlier comment about the weather being cooler and now is the time to try to re-connect the implement.

It's a PIA for all of us.

Some times the hydraulic pressure in hoses prevents connection. I have a 3/4" diameter X 6" long nylon rod. Put rod end on the hydraulic ball end - wrap this operation with a shop rag - give the nylon rod a tap with a hammer. Wahla - pressure has been relieved.

Price of a simple clamp and some grinding on left over Uni-Strut from Home Depot...works on my stubborn flat face QDs.

Amen to this. I have some customers where I mow acreage with a bush hog or finish mower and it's so much easier to mow with the loader off. The unused implement sits in the sun the whole time and heats up. Now just out of habit, I release the pressure on the hoses before even trying to re-connect.

Price of a simple clamp
There are 3 clamp versions, Light-Duty, Medium-Duty and Heavy-Duty that provides up to 600 pounds of force.
Be sure to get one of the Heavy-Duty models:

I thought about making my own, but I just don't feel right about what is essentially stealing from someone. They came up with the idea, patented it, and pay to market it and deserve to get paid for their effort.

Nothing against anyone who makes their own, just my personal belief.
