Maybe, but I found a John Deere MX-8 rotary mower. That's what actually caused me to buy this less expensive Kubota. It saved me around $4,000 which is enough for the rotary mower.

Really wanted the X-748, but when this rotary mower came along, it changed everything.

Sounds like a good price on the MX8:thumbsup:

It is always choices do I buy the X749 or a large Harley rake first? Need them both but will only buy them one at a time.

Builder, how does it feel being off that fence? Congrat's on the BX. How 'bout posting some pic's if you have them. One more vote for the HDAP tires on the BX. Good luck with it.

My situation is more "fluid" than most TBN members because I'm always accumulating equipment for the business. I only need a few more pieces, then I'm done (yeah...right). :laughing:

Chris, feels good in that it's over and I can get some of my lost spare time back, but I really wanted the 748.

I should be taking delivery mid-end of this week. I'll get some pics up soon.

With all of the problems that the 2305's rear PTO is having (and JD not standing behind them) you couldn't pay me to take one.
So I'd get the X748.

I keep accumulating equipment for the business too but it is too small in alot of cases for the ranch (500 acres). At some point I will need to buy some larger equipment but the economy sucks too bad now to extend myself.

For now I am doing the same as you and building up the equipment for the landscape business. Good luck with the Kubota hope it will fill the short term needs.
