2019 Workmaster 40. Looking for an engine oil filter yesterday....

Dealership says they've been waiting for months.

NAPA says they can't even look up a filter for it.

O'reilly Auto Parts also has no listings for it.

I ended up ordering one from Messick's hoping it's the correct filter. Should be here in a week or so, I hope.

This is ridiculous.

What is your OEM filter # and make? did you try WiX. For my 1700 I use WiX equal and am pretty happy with.

You may be able to cross by dimensions. You need the hole diameter and thread pitch as well as the seal diameter. If you can get those off your old filter you may find it's common.

I checked t with Wix filter look up. They have hyd filter , air and fuel but do not list oil filter. Below link might come handy for future reference.

something else to look,

I have been using Quaker State QS 3600 (long filter) for years on my NH. Matches a Fram PH3600 and I have used a few of those. If length is an issue the QS 3614 is the shorter version.

A wix filter cross to the 84475542 NH is a wix 51348 or 51348xp......a very common filter.

Napa number for that filter above would be 1348 in their gold line...made by wix.

That's the current part number for the most widely used Ford/New Holland CUT engine oil filter ever. It's roots go back at least to the 1710 tractor that came out in 1983.

51348? I'll ask for that next time I go.

I ended up using an oil filter that my father had in his inventory. He's a forklift mechanic. He had a filter with very similar seal dimensions and the same thread size and pitch, so I put it on the tractor and it doesn't seem to be leaking at this time.

Messick's also did finally get a factory filter to me after waiting over a week. So now I've got a spare.

When I use the filter Messick's sent, I'll go ahead and get a 51348 from the local store to keep on hand from now on. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I've started to keep all my filters on hand and start shopping for the next one as soon as I change one. Crazy times.
I try to stock 2 filters for each machine.
