Hey everyone... I again want to thank you all for all your help.
First, I did get the hose off. It took undoing all the other hoses and getting a bigger (much) socket handle. Using a crows foot and an extender it came off fairly easy. So, yes, take your time, take everything around the spot off. No, not an easy fix but one I got done with all of your advice. I have to say I did not realize how much leverage and extra 12" on a handle would be but it came off pretty easy with that amount of leverage.
But here is where it gets interesting. On the other end of the hose is a quick connect. I wanted to salvage it. Well, it refused to come off and I broke a wrench. I then said heck with it, whipped out my sawsall and cut the hose and took it to my local machine shop where they said they would undo it for free.
Long story is that they could not remove the connector. It actually turned into a project for them (you know how machinists are, gotta figure it out no matter what). The difficulty was not crushing the connector, or heating it and melting the innards.
So, I now have to replace my disconnects but that is OK. Not a huge issue.
