the smaller one, i believe it is 49", the 210 loader. and turf tires. I have a belly mower 62" and a rear scraper blade.

Buckie,

That makes me feel a bit better; the 53" in certain circumstances can push the envelope with the 2210. I think loading the tires with RimGuard (just had it done for $118) and the ballast box are the way to go. Should be plenty for the 49" bucket. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Can\'t get bucket loader to reattach on 2210

Buckie,

I think your on the right track with the balast box. I too put mine on a dolly and store in my garage when not using it. It works great. For weight in mine, I bought bags of playground sand. They are 40 lbs each (I think) and you can adjust 1 bag at a time. I use 6 bags and have 2 extras in case I needed them.

I also have wheel weights, but can tell you it's light in the rear with only rear wheel weights so I wouldn't do any loader work without the ballast box or an implement.

Good luck and enjoy your new green monster /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Can\'t get bucket loader to reattach on 2210

I used 22 each 12"? square patio blocks at around 18 lbs apiece to give ~ 400 lbs in the ballast box for my X585- works well and allows you to add/ subtract weights as neccessary.

Re: Can\'t get bucket loader to reattach on 2210

I sympathize. I had this problem when I first got mine. It seemed like the front part of the frame wasn't centering itself and binding somehow. Sometimes I use the hydraulic to lift the tractor and then it popped in, not always. It was on a flat level surface BUT I was lifting the arms too high when I detached the loader then when I went to attach it the whole thing would slide around as I lowered it so then I'd have to back out unhook and realign the tractor and try again. I learned to NEVER ever lift the frame any higher than absolutely necesary to back the tractor out of it. It doesn't happen not that I've done it a few times, the suggestion about the paint might have some merit.

Re: Can\'t get bucket loader to reattach on 2210

you are absolutely right about not raising the arms any higher than necessary. the FEL dances around like it is doing the hokie-pokie when I re-attach the hoses and start centering up for re-attaching the FEL frame. For those of us with zero prior experience, this can be a scary moment. LOL. I wasn't sure exactly what the darn thing was going to do next!
Have ordered ballast box and will probably use the concrete blocks. I need weights I can lift by myself easily, so will have to use more, in quantity, but that's ok.

Re: Can\'t get bucket loader to reattach on 2210

Buckie: If it is real tight just take a grinder and grind off the offending material to make it fit better. I can re-attach my loader even when the ground is not level and you should be able to do this also. good luck.
