Re: Can\'t get the @#*&@ MMM Blades off!!
There are two types of torque wrenches. Beam and click. The beam has a pointer and isn't the choice of many people any longer. It is outdated technology. The click torque wrench, will give you a click sound when it reaches the pre determined amount of torque. Since this is a mower deck, not some sophisticated piece of equipment, I suggest that you look at some of the catalog stores, such as Harbor Freight or Northern. I would purchase a 1/2" drive unit for ease of use. You might also try e Bay. I have seen some good buys on there for Snap-On torque wrenches. One thing to remember, that most of the national known brands are all made by the same company. I don't know if China has gotten into making them as of yet, but you can bet that if they haven't they will. Accuracy is a relative factor to the extent of the type of work that you will be doing with it. Go for price and then accuracy if new. If used, then go for what you can afford and save a buck on. As long as it works, the setting will be close enough for what you will be doing. If you live close to me, then I will let you use mine. I have 2 and only use one at a time. This is an expensive tool to be only used a couple times of the year. Where are you located???? No time like the present to fill in your profile..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
