It's not just poor bandwidth. My bandwidth is pretty good. Some of us out in the sticks have a limit on the amount of data we can download in a month/billing period. It's called sharing. Mine is 150Gb. Anything over that and I have to start paying extra in 5Gb chunks. And don't bother telling me about alternatives--They don't exist out here. I'm lucky to get what I have. Thank the guberment for spending $24B on rural internet access and not helping a single remote user.Every person who reads a thread with your pic in it has to download the pic to their computer. It happens automatically via web protocols but it's still downloaded so their screens can display it. The people who have poor bandwidth will have a wait.
There's no need to upload photos out of a 24mb camera or even in 4k. Most displays won't show that much detail anyway. If it happens a lot, I just ignore the poster and don't see any of their posts.
