Car Guys What's in your garage?

Forgot to post a pic. Also I just sold in past couple years a 1955 Olds Super 88 and a 1929 Durant street rod. Olds was all original, Rod had a 360 Dodge crate motor and 727 auto.

I love cars in showroom condition and can really appreciate the work/skill that goes into building a rod plus survivors always have a special place for me...

Worked at a Dealership long ago... the one perk was getting to drive home anything from the used lot... I took full advantage and always drove a different car every night... old, nearly new, foreign, domestic... etc... didn't matter as long as it was different!!!

Should have followed in my uncle's footsteps... I like old cars and he liked American Muscle... still remember when he had to sell his GT40 and 427 Cobra when he got divorced... the Cobra went from an unheard of price of 25k... but a nice home could be bought for 50k...

He still gets calls about cars he owned years ago... seems each GT40 and Cobra has a pedigree with chain of ownership...

The most fun car he evered owned and the one he won the most races is the Lotus Super 7 he built... it was a blast to drive and won it's class almost every time out.

The most awards ranging all the way to Pebble Beach was his Mongoose 215 Olds powered AC Bristol... it was for sale recently as a project with a 175k asking price...

If some of our garages could only talk!

DSCN2811.JPGDSCN3040.JPGAs I've grown older I've slowed down and my vehicles show it.My daily driver is a '93 Daihatsu Hijet and my work truck around the place is a '95 Suzuki Carry which I've outfitted with a dump and scissor lift to make my chores a little easier.

I see the filter for the onboard air, there in that 3rd picture. I'm making one for my Suburban our of a York compressor. I'll run it from a belt off the alternator.

Suburban you say? My wife has been driving the wheels off of this one since I brought it home a few months ago. There's a growing stack of parts for it in the trunk of the Stude. :D

I love micro trucks and never thought of a scissor lift... great idea.

Did you adapt or make something from scratch?

My Samurai is a real workhorse... used it to move broken concrete, fuel for the tractors and mobile tool box...

Very few like that around here..... road salt. Mines a '93. About 95K miles. Had it for about 6 years now. Starting to get the fender rot. :(

My babies. Have to keep them in my shop since Sharn Jean took over the garage, but we have fun with them. The '59 has been in the family since new; it's an all original car with 57k miles. The '60 is somewhat original, but has a 350 ci w/a 4bbl and a 700R4.

Very nice looking. Great cars.

My newest Chevrolet and my tow vehicle is a 91...

I helped my friend buy it new and he said when he is done with it... it's mine.

We had kind of lost touch since he moved... one day I get a call, 15 years later and he said come get my truck...

Zero salt/rust... 350 HO with engine trim and throaty oem exhaust... no issue pulling my 7k car hauler.
