Forgot to post a pic. Also I just sold in past couple years a 1955 Olds Super 88 and a 1929 Durant street rod. Olds was all original, Rod had a 360 Dodge crate motor and 727 auto.
I love cars in showroom condition and can really appreciate the work/skill that goes into building a rod plus survivors always have a special place for me...
Worked at a Dealership long ago... the one perk was getting to drive home anything from the used lot... I took full advantage and always drove a different car every night... old, nearly new, foreign, domestic... etc... didn't matter as long as it was different!!!
Should have followed in my uncle's footsteps... I like old cars and he liked American Muscle... still remember when he had to sell his GT40 and 427 Cobra when he got divorced... the Cobra went from an unheard of price of 25k... but a nice home could be bought for 50k...
He still gets calls about cars he owned years ago... seems each GT40 and Cobra has a pedigree with chain of ownership...
The most fun car he evered owned and the one he won the most races is the Lotus Super 7 he built... it was a blast to drive and won it's class almost every time out.
The most awards ranging all the way to Pebble Beach was his Mongoose 215 Olds powered AC Bristol... it was for sale recently as a project with a 175k asking price...
If some of our garages could only talk!
