I love micro trucks and never thought of a scissor lift... great idea.

Did you adapt or make something from scratch?

My Samurai is a real workhorse... used it to move broken concrete, fuel for the tractors and mobile tool box...

I used a unit from a Daihatsu that was still functional even though the truck was trashed.This is actually the third iteration of this as I started with a 2 wd Mitsubishi with dump.We moved to our current place and I needed 4x4 so bought the Suzuki and put the dump from the Mits on it then changed to the Daihatsu scissor/dump when I found the truck.We have a lot of palm trees so it is very useful.

I helped a friend buy a Suzuki Carry 4x4 about 10y ago, but you can't drive them on the street here in CA. Legally,
that is. It replaced a GEM, an electric micro-truck that was near useless due to its front wheel drive.

I've found a couple of legal trucks here including my little Daihatsu,which is the only reason I bought it.I don't know how it was run through the DMV but it has a regular title and plates.When I went to transfer it to my name the DMV said it had to be smogged and that became an issue but I found a way around that because there is a loop hole for engines under 50 cid and this is only 33 cid. Oddly enough it had been registered for 10 years and never required smog until the transfer of ownership.
I met a guy in San Diego who converted one to electric and registered it but that's a whole new ball of wax and pile of cash.

I got plates once for a golf cart and California Title...

Took 3 attempts at 3 different offices to make it happen and the plates were car plates... not motorcycle.
