Care to guess on a truck problem?

It's a dana 60, actually iirc the sticker says spicer 60. I've had the truck for 11 years. Bought it with 84k, now has around 162k. Drove it a lot for the first 5 years, now it's barely driven. I've done them twice already and it's due for them again. I was using duralast I think, but would like to get something better.

Dana 60 is a nice piece. I would have any issues running the moog joints there.

I have never owned a dodge , but I owned a new and used tire shop for 12 years. I have seen a lot of wiped out front suspensions, and a lot of them were dodge, I wont go into my preferences, but I will say, the percentage of dodge suspension problems were significantly higher other brands, i.e. 2000 up Dakota and Durango ball joints were recalled because they were popping out of the sockets at around 60-80k. My buddy had a 99 which were the same part # but weren't recalled. we went through a cheap set pretty quick , so replaced again with moog , they held up much better. Imho I think dodge underbuilds their suspension.

What joints are you talking about? Are you talking about the spindle joints like we are? Or are you talking about the steering tie-rod ends. Those are the only ones I have ever heard of popping out. (and one did on me).

Ford and dodge use the same axles up front. LAst generation was Dana 60's on the heavy trucks. Now its AAM axles. Cant really blame things on Dodge, or play the Dodge vs Ford game. Chevy's are different cause of the IFS

Sorry, I it was late when I posted, I was talking about the ball joints in that circumstance, but I have seen a lot of issues with about every part of the suspensions. . I didn't mention Ford lol, I did have a guy come in one day with a 2002 f350 and just as he turned into my shop the tie rod end on the lh side popped out , he was really lucky we had him back on the road in less than an hour lol. I figured dodge was enough, but I have the same opinion of Ford front suspension. I am a chevy man,( not saying they don't have their own issues, which they have plenty lol) I have 2 trucks both with over 200k the front ends are still tight, of course where possible I do keep them greased. Im sure that is an issue as well.
