I purchased a 3-pt carry-all from northern tool a month or so ago. It has worked great for transporting bags of seed and fertilizer from storage shed to fields. Don't have any tie downs on it yet. Deck is 3/4" plywood. I was thinking about screwing 2/2's to undersurface of the perimeter of the deck and back, then attaching lengths of chain around perimeter of 2/2's with short lags at ends and middle. That would provide fair flexibility for attaching bungees, ratchet straps, etc. Any other thoughts??

Here're a couple pictures of mine attached. I attached some 2 bys around the bottom of the pallet I bolted to it and then attached some stanchions in which to put 2by4s for the sides.

I put castors on the bottom to make it easy to take off and to put onto the 3ph.

Ralph,

I like the idea of the castors. I have been thinking about at least two on the rear side of the carryall to keep it from dragging on high spots. I use mine as a platform for my sprayer.

I used it the other day to haul a full size fridge two miles from home. Just strapped the fridge to it and tipped it back toward the tractor. I wish that I would have taken a picture of it! For the money, they are pretty darned handy!

I would like to see a thread with everyone's uses and configurations for carryalls.

Take a look at the the link I posted above. There's 7 pages of carry-all use (some pics too).

I added 2x6 and 2x8 boards to the floor and back of my KK carryall. I used carriage bolts to attach most, but on the 'second from the top' board along the back, I used large eye-bolts. The nuts pull the rings of the eye-bolts into the surface of the boards slightly to pull the boards tight. I use those rings to temporarily strap on a 55 gallon drum for watering, and to tie on all sorts of other things when hauling.
