Hi,

I've been building a Carry All and it's almost finished. I guess I went overboard, but I decided to go with 3/4" plywood - two sheets glued and screwed together, so that my Floor Base and Back Wall are actually 1 1/2" thick plywood. Very solid and stiff, and heavy!

The dimensions of the Floor Base are 48" wide X 34" deep; Back Wall is 48" wide X 30" high. I painted the plywood John Deere Green and added 2" X 4" boards as edging, and painted them John Deere Yellow. Eventually, I plan to cover the exterior sides of the 2" X 4" boards and exposed plywood edges with 1" X 5" pine boards that will also be painted John Deere Yellow. You can see them drying in the backgound.

I still need to add more trim boards. I'm looking for ideas on how store my tools - for the most part they will be landscaping tools, full size rakes, shovels, hand digging tools, weed "wackers" and so on. I've seen the pvc pipes others have used . . . not sure if I want to go that way, guess I'm looking for other ideas or suggestions for tool holders.

Thanks for any ideas you might care to share.

Why not make modular. Make individual modules for different need to drop on. That way you have a basic platform to carry anything than add module for the task ahead. Looks great!

For handled tool like shovels and rakes and hoes put length's of 2 inch PVC or ABS plastic pipe vertically on back side (tractor side) of vertical wall if space permits, other wise on front of wall....

Other solution may be a pair of 2x4's bored with 2 inch holes and edge mounted to back board to form a series of drop down holes to form a "rack"....

Topzide's concept of modular units has merit if you have lots of variation in useage...

Digging it. Whats the point of a carry all if everything on it will fit in the bucket?

I find a chaisaw mount prety usefull on my machines. Oddly shaped expensive tool.
