I bet you could add a 3ph to one of these for a nice work platform to trim trees, paint, etc. May be able to adapt a carryall to operate the same way.

Went to buy a carryall at lunch today and the dealer had a king cutter carryall for $100 or a KK pallet carrier for $240. Said he would drill 4 holes in my pallet forks and it would be an effective carryall with the ability to also carry pallets, such as grass at my sons new yard.

Anyone else gone this route and opted for pallet forks rather than carryall?

I have a TC24DA with front wheel drive and front bucket.

I have both, and must say that I use my rear pallet forks more than I use my carry-all. My firewood is all palletized, so that is one reason I use it more. Of course, that could be a chicken and egg scenario -- is my wood palletized because I have the rear pallet forks, or do I have the rear pallet forks to move my wood pallets?

I have forks for my FEL, too, but the 3pt hitch will pick up substantially more than the FEL.

Often, if the rear forks are on, but I need to move something, I'll just throw a pallet on the forks and get on with it, instead of swapping out for the carry-all.

If it came down to "pick one or the other", I would choose the rear pallet forks for versatility -- but then I am a pallet junkie. I never store anything on the ground when moving it is even remotely in the future.

When we were putting up our building, I bought a used single-man 20 foot lift. See: JLG Man Lift It has slots for forks, and I can pick it up with the rear pallet forks on my 4410. I use it all the time to trim trees, work on gutters, etc.

I rented one for three weeks. It rained almost every day during the rental, and we couldn't work. I bought this one on eBay for the cost of another month's rent.

I just bought a TSC Farm Force carry-all for much the same purposes.

Are those 2x6's you have bolted on?

I have a 3ph hay fork. Metal carry all can be attached/detached by sliding on the forks. Forks themselves have a ball attached for a gooseneck trailer and extra weights.




I have a regular ball hitch on the rear of the carry all and put a tool box on it strapped down with bungee cords. It is the tool that goes with me almost always. Extra weights also sit on the carry all, which is made of pipe cross members and really heavy too.

BAck when I still had those nuisence cows, I had a head gate attached to one carry-all.

And one is a dedicated firewood carrier. Just fill it up and drop it near the back door until it need re-filling.

Got another that's a dedicated fence building/repairing tool carrier. My old place had 3000' of highway frontage. Hardly a weekend went by that some "imbibed" driver didn't take a shortcut through my fences. Always kept the carry-all ready for midnight fence building. New place has 30' of fence.... used as a trellis in the garden. Time to dismantle the ol' fence repair kit!

Uses for a carry-all are only limited by your imagination.

I actually have 3 platforms that fit on my bale fork... one for carryall, one for spray rig, one for my next idea.

I sympathize with the fence repair needs... I, too, have folks come down the road and run thru my RED GATE and take it off the hinges and bend it all to heck. Makes me want to put in a deadfall pit at a bend in the road... we go around and those going straight get slowed down... I love the fantasy.... but wouldn't work in practice...some fool would break theiri neck and sue for more than I'm worth

I use mine to haul all kind of stuff. Instead of buying a tow behind or 3ph mounted sprayer, I bought one designed to be strapped to an ATV and strap it to the carryall-much cheaper this way and the lightweight tank is easier to lift to a shelf top or into the garage trusses for storage.

If I ever buy a PTO driven generator, I'll fab a bolt-on/off subframe that allows me to connect the generator to the carryall. This will mean less $$ invested and less stuff to find storage space for.
