Carrying stuff on your Kubota?

/ Carrying stuff on your Kubota? #11
Storage is ALWAYS an issue. I built a wooden tray that sits in front of my steering wheel and is attached to the fel crossbar. This gives me a spot for stuff (tool box, chainsaw gas, etc.) and includes a cup holder. I also have a chainsaw holder on the rollbar. This is an ATV chainsaw holder that I attached to the ROPS (without drilling!). Two chain boxes - one on each side of the FEL mount. A hat/helmet hook on the other side of the rops completes the picture.

Sometimes in the summer I throw a milk crate on there to hold more stuff. Sometime with a project we'll load the bucket up with odds and ends and establish a staging area to hold stuff. This tray just slides on/off in seconds.

You should think about a FEL...

...but with a little work you could mount a tackle box on that wood carrier of yours.

I just wish my fenders were bigger on the BX. I still am looking for the best place to mount the "Barley" pop cooler. That always seems like the hardest thing to find a place for. HA HA!!!

The only thing is it is kinda awkard to hook a chain on the hitch under it.

I made this box out of some leftover cabinet plywood and a couple of square u-bolts (dont remember where I found them, think they came of a fork frame)that fit the ROPS exactly. I have 2 chainsaws, oil, fuel, chains, crowbar, machete, chains, brush puller, lopers, gloves and a small tool box in it right now, but i take it off when using the box blade cause it blocks the view.

I'd like to see how you have the PVC mounted to your FEL. That sounds like a great idea.

I glued the end caps on and painted. Drilled a hole for a nail to hold it in position. I cut the PVC to fit the length and cut part of the tube to make it easy to put the chain in and get out. A thicker PVC would be sturdier but I used what I had and it does ok.

I use a modified TSC carry-all. It was cheap to buy and add on to. While it is effective I find I usually need my box blade on for a counter weight and to push logs and earth around. So, I think will do make something like Bigman has done.

This is a real nice set-up-

I Had a sheet metal tray hat was used for some kinda guard t a factory where I work and they threw it out.

I mounted it to the cross bar behind the seat that connects the fenders together and use it for the small stuff like reese inserts, extra linch pins, clevis, gloves, tools, etc etc.

As for the water bottle I keep that in the cup holder:)

Nice addition LD1:)

Can you post some pictures of your 3 wood hauling trailers?

/ Carrying stuff on your Kubota? #19
I will be able to post pics in a few hours. I am not at home right now.

Two of them are done and being used daily and the other one is not 100% done yet. Just need to finish the sides and it will be ready.

The First pic is before we painted them but they are the same trailers.

I have several pics of the build up on two of the trailers, I can post if someone would like but I don't want to hijack the thread.

BTW the smaller one is 4' x 8' with 2' sides and the larger one is 4' x 9' (just enough to get a fifth row) with 32" sides
