We just took a Case 275 in trade. a prior owner operated the tractor with missing loader mounting bolts and somehow cracked the crankcase. It has been welded, but still leaks oil. We are considering removing the engine and having it professionally welded, but it seems it would be a better fix if there as another engine or good block out there somewhere. The cost of a new block from case was nearly 3 grand, for a bare block!...too much! Any leads appreciated.
thanks

To clean the area that the leak is in and to coat it with JB weld would probably fix the leak.

Art, thats a great idea. nothing to loose so I'll give it a try. since it was welded, i'm sure it will be strong enough.. once the loader bolts are all replaced. Thanks!
