Looks like I'm going to get a Case 430 model tractor. Never heard of them or know anything about them.

At 3,135 pounds / 2-WD / four forward gears / Case 430 is only a moderately capable tractor by 2021 standards.

Suitable for working a flat/level crop area of 10 acres to 15 acres with 66" - 72" implements.

Prospect for implements where you obtained the tractor when the snow is gone, before weeds grow up.

I hope your tractor has power steering.

I have a reverse idler shaft for a 430 transmission. ----- was told it also fits a 310---well it dont! lol! I have two 580ck loader backhoe tractors they are both 1968's. The 430's are its little brother and good tractors.
The loader on yours might be the #33 --- same one used on the 580ck's.
If you have water in the transmission and it been in there for very long then the bearings/gears/ and shafts are rusted so you will need to take top off the transmission and look in there to see what you have.
Things should come loose with some work.
I dont remember if they have disk brakes or not but I think they do and it dont matter if the peddle moves or not the disks are stuck together!

Googling some 430 pictures, I realize that the color scheme is in keeping with the older models. I remember the pale yellow paint, red engine and screened grill, but not the black stripe along the lower hood.

Very helpful thank you. Not sure how much the loader adds to the weight but it’s a lot I can tell you. That thing is stout.
Kind of looking forward to some decent weather to tinker on it. Probably not going to do too much till the weather breaks we just got dumped on with snow. I hope I can get it running

This is the 430LCK (445) that I’ve had since the middle 70’s. I just gave it to a friends son along with a 72” Woods finish mower. This one had 4 speeds and three ranges, and a sort of live PTO. The sort of was that there was a hand clutch that would disengage the traction allowing the PTO to continue to rotate. It also has a draft control. It was extremely reliable and served me well.

Right off. There is something about the long wheelbase that is attractive. These tractors evolved over considerible time to do what they were expected to do, better and better. I'm not so certain that nowadays that has become more about marketing. Maybe not so much in the Ag sector, but certainly in this exploding consumer segment.
