Case IH 885 Front Wheel Problems

I got hub off. Worst case scenerio..... everything from u-joint to ring gear will need replaced except housings. One sun gear bearing seemed tight, maybe that started the destruction. I'm guessing 1500 in parts, any thoughts.

I'm thinking you'll be lucky to fix it for that $1500.

What do you guys think about used parts ? I did some checking and new would be around $3000 , whereas used would be around $1500 ?

I got new parts coming. I'm still not sure what caused this failure. Do you guys think I should tear the other side apart to check it ?

You should at least dump the oil in the other planetary & see what comes out with it.
