Case-IH DX33 PTO not staying in gear.

In the parts list the guy had in his pdf file, the sliding gear was SBA322342090 and the counter shaft was SBA322571660. In my 4/2000 NH parts manual, the gear is SBA322341330 and the shaft is SBA322570701. When trying to find parts, you may want to ask why the PNs changed. Maybe you need to keep the same year gear/shaft together if they are changing them? Good luck.

I have verified the above part numbers are correct for my tractor with the local dealer.

From my dealer:
I found the counter shaft to be part number SBA322571440 list price $477.36, and the gear is part number SBA322342090 list price $533.72. They are both available.
Thats when i crapped my pants! Yikes!

I looked online for alternatives new or used. I didn't find much but that can change at any point.

Onward with new parts and not looking back.

Thank all for your comments! :)

Flush, flush, and flush that housing to remove all that crap. Perhaps someone has a tried and true method to suggest for cleaning the housing and bearings.
