CASE VAC Mud

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a '51 Case VAC tricycle style. Anyone know how it will run in the mud? I've got a mud slick field (about 6 inches deep) that needs to be scraped and graded.

I don't know about steering in mud, but traction is no problem. I used to run a V snowplow on mine, with chains on that thing will climb a tree. Those tall narrow tires are built for traction. (I'm assuming 34" tires, the 28" don't have the traction of the 34")

About as good as any other small 2 wheel drive tractor. Narrow front, may push a little mud in front of the 2 tires? Ken Sweet

Here's another quick question on it. The 3 point lever which lifts the arms is touchie... sometimes I lift it half way up, stop, the try to finish lifting it up and instead it goes down. The lift action is jerkie. It has an external hydro pump using motor oil instead of fluid.

The motion is jerkie / muddled b/c the owner made his own lift arms / hydro setup in order to make it a 3 point.

I have to admit that would put me off...

Mine has the factory eagle hitch and it works fine, also it's not hard to modify standard 3PH implements to work.
