Thanks for all the suggestions. They all have warm boxes. One even has a heating pad in it. Also have a chest freezer with the compressor taken out. Cut a hole in the side at the bottom, built a couple of shelves for them and have a 40watt bulb inside a metal can that you cannot see any light and it warms the freezer. Have a couple of perches up high that they can sit on. But still like to sleep on car. I have come up with this idea. Don't know if it will work or not. Throwing a tarp over it every time we come in or removing it when we go out is too much trouble. I am thinking about hanging a couple of chains about 6' apart from the ceiling and hanging it so it is just above the top of the car and will be about even with the top of windshield. I want it high enough that I won't walk into it. I would then mount a clear plastic sheet to it so it would almost reach the floor, then just drive the car into it when coming into the garage. I would mount a crank handle to crank it up if needed. This might be a summer project.
