CBD/hemp oil, anybody use it?

Wifey has bad RA, and numerous bad discs w/ associated spinal problems. She takes CBD oil two times a day. She is able to function. She did not take it for 2 days once (ran out and next delivery was delayed).... she could barely walk and had tremendous pain.

The canine companions also get some every day

In many cases of chronic pain opioids is the only alternative and we all know where that leads especially with unintended overdoses...with unintended overdoses of cannabis...you just order a pizza...!

IMO topical ointments etc only last a for a short time and are a waste of money...it is important for those that use it in other ways understand the basic difference between the two fundamental types of pot...

I suggest anyone interested do their own research ...but as a sufferer of RA it can be a great relief of chronic pain...

Worth a try. Father suffered from RA for 25+ years before it killed him. He was a guinea pig for every crackpot cure doctors could dream up. They even gave him Gold injections that were supposed to settle in the joints and make them work smoother. Ha! He took so many meds over the years that his quality of life was poor. I just wish his religious convictions would have allowed him to try CBD or Pot. There could have been some real relief.

I have ultimate sympathy for anyone that has to deal with chronic pain...especially when it prevents sleep...that is when/why I choose cannabis alternatives to pharmaceuticals...hopefully the prejudice will subside and more people that suffer will find there are alternatives to deadly drugs...

Same here. Big Pharma hates any alternative treatment that takes money out of their pockets. They are not in it to cure disease or relieve pain, they are there to make obscene amounts of money for themselves and their shareholders.

I have used CBD oil with no THC for tendinitis and it worked better than the medication prescribed by the doctor.

Being a skeptic, I uncharacteristically gave CBD oil a try on my thumb that hurts occasionally, but painful enough to look for some relief. Nothing I had tried prior had any effect at all. I can only say, the CBD oil DID and DOES relieve the pain for a couple of days. I can't explain nor justify the 'why', but if it works - it works.

CBD oil is still a mysterious product. Lots of information on why it does work as well as why it does not work. Perhaps it only works for certain people and for certain pains and illnesses. So far, however, we simply don't know for sure.

I think CBD oil is good for gut health and I use it before going to bed normally but will use during the day if a lot of pain is slowing me down. It seems to work better for me when used regularly. I prefer the full spectrum CBD oil.

Same here. Big Pharma hates any alternative treatment that takes money out of their pockets. They are not in it to cure disease or relieve pain, they are there to make obscene amounts of money for themselves and their shareholders.

I have a couple pharmaceutical stocks in my retirement portfolio, and I'm not making obscene amounts of money from any of them. :laughing:

I'm a bit skeptical about CBD, it seems to be this year's fad cure-all, and ISTM most of the suppliers/vendors are a little sketchy. Hard to tell if it's legit or not.

My pot stocks went for a dump with the corona virus, but i think they would have gone for a dump anyway.

The way I see it, CBD oil helps with my gibbled knee and shoulder. To each his own. I would much rather use CBD than opiods.
