I see that a lot around here also. Covid also was nowhere near as widespread as they were expecting a year ago. Is it because of the way the country was shut down, or just paranoia? We never will know for sure.

if i lived in LA or NYC, it would be a whole other thing. i just live in a rural area. im also pretty much retired, so dont get around people much. i was not afraid of this bug. still aint.

but i do feel for countries like India that are getting slammed. its not that i dont believe in the virus, (I believe China developed it...still do) its just not hitting rural folk like crowded countries and stated.

Who knows how long a person is protected by the vaccine? All I heard was 6 months....maybe more.

its not a vaccine, its a shot. an unproven technology with months of study. im just amazed how many FDA approved drugs are studied for YEARS, then recalled due to problems. just look at all the lawsuits about products and drugs that had years and years of study. not months. personally im more concerned for the so called vaccine as i am about the disease.

It is a vaccine...its purpose is to create antibodies...like other vaccines i.e., polio, small pox etc., etc...it's not the same as typical drugs the FDA oversees...

IMO it's hard to believe the FDA approves some of the drugs being advertised and the possible side effects...in many cases the possible side effects are far worse than the disease they are supposed to be treating...

We had literally hundreds of inmates and staff test positive for covid where I work. I haven't worn a mask in probably 9 months, and neither have the majority of the people I work with on my shift. I clean my area where I eat every day, wear disposable gloves anytime I am going to be touching anything questionable (neither is a new practice for me) and haven't even gotten a cold in probably 3 years. I work in a petri dish.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, I even had Easter dinner with 3 family members that had covid.

None of the inmates were hospitalized due to covid, and only one of my co-workers was (he's fine now).

It seems to affect everyone differently, but being around as many cases as I was (most are younger than me at 51) I haven't seen what all the fuss is about. If you're older or sick already it is going to be much more dangerous, but even my mom, who had it at age 80, has recovered very well, as had my sister at age 58. Her symptoms, as described to me, reminded me of the flu virus I had back in 2012.

With only 1/3 of the population vaccinated, I have to wonder if the new requirement isn't a mistake. And here in Georgia, only about 1/4 are vaccinated! Are 2/3 of the population invincible, and I'm not?

The vaccinations are stated to offer protection in receiving C-19 but not in transmitting it. And even then it's only 90%-96% effective for those with both vaccinations.

My guess is that we're not done with this epidemic yet.

Nope. And I guarantee you as long as we have these clowns obsessed with playing with bats & monkey viruses (for Lord knows why) we will have these mistakes in labs and outbreaks.
Enough already. Stop screwing around with disaster.
