So either almost as many as Cancer kills per year or almost as many as Cancer and Heart Disease kills per year? Yet most gyms are still closed or have restrictive rules because of COVID and we never shut the economy down to solve them among many other contradictory examples.

Can you imagine if we committed the three or four trillion dollars (estimated) in lost GDP to Cancer research instead of closing the economy? My dad was adopted so I got the pleasure of loosing five grandparents to cancer. Still don't know anyone personally who's died from COVID.

Let's assume that's accurate for the sake of discussion.

Neither Cancer nor Heart Disease contagious and transmissible like a virus.
