Look what those that choose not to get the vaccine are willing to do. They are willing to drink from the trough of protection that vaccines provide without giving back. They are not contributing to the public good but are taking advantage of it.

I'll let my wife know before she heads in to run the county's E911 system she's not contributing to the 'public good' as she has no desire to get the shot.

Moderna and Pfizer are working on incorporating the mRNA tech into a flu vaccine that will be effective against all flu strains, and may be nearly 100% effective like their Covid vaccines. The plan is that we will get one flu and Covid booster every fall. If that works out, flu epidemics will be a thing of the past. The only people getting sick will be those who don't get vaccinated.

Huh... I haven't had a flu vaccine in....shoot, the last time I was in high school and/or college and they made it mandatory. Nor can I recall the last time I actually had the flu either.

I suspect you will have to show a vaccine passport if you want to attend the Olympics this year.

If they refused to leave a business after being told to mask up, they got arrested for trespass. Wahoo, I'm filthy now! I refuse to get vaccinated and I haven't been sick or died. Even with the wife, 1 son, my father, a co-worker coming down with the Rona. Seems to be something wrong with your statement.

Quite a few elitist posts on this thread. Covid has certainly exposed those who look down on others for not getting vaccinated yet.

No doubt right. Not so sure how hard it is to just let those that want the shot to get it, and those that don't, don't. Or those that want a Chicken Pox shot vs those that don't.

Our count is now 43 friends, family or coworkers that have had COVID. 4 died.

My wife, oldest son, my old man, co-worker all had it.

My thoughts as well on this. Then add in Ohio's stupid 'get a vaccine, be entered to win a million dollars'. Just more 'reasons' made up to entice people to get the needle.

This article says there were ~40k less deaths excess deaths than reported COVID deaths so reported numbers still higher.

I don't know how you came up with that.

We all got it from my brother in-law, who refused to wear a mask, and didn't tell us he'd had a fever for the past 2 days until being with us in the same room for 2 hours. Everyone in the room with him except the dying person we were attending to while turning off his pacemaker got COVID from that one person.

His words, "I've had a fever for two days, but it's the same thing I had last year."

Anti-masker. Anti-vaxer. Almost killed his mom. He's an idiot. Fortunately, we stopped by to visit and I found her half-naked and incoherent lying half off of her bed and half on the floor. She spent 5-6 days in the hospital. Made a good recovery.

Brother in-law and his wife still won't get vaccinated. There is no valid reason.

I wonder what the long term cost of other symptoms of Covid (like long haulers) will be. Will it be a "preexisting condition" that will affect health coverage? Will it affect a persons ability to get employment? Will another variant hit again this Fall?

Just need to keep in mind that the mask only results in a slight decrease in the number of cases, and the vaccine will not prevent you from getting, spreading, being hospitalized or dying from Covid.
