Why don't they find out this Census information on the internet like everyone else?
Lol, you almost got me.

Why not? I guess I don't understand why anyone would object to being counted. I don't really know what all the questions are this year, but I can't imagine any that I would object to answering. And of course, I'll be polite to any census taker because he/she is just doing the job they were hired for.

To many personal questions in my opinion. They want name, age, date of birth, ***, phone number, mortgage or not, Latino or not, Race, and name of second person in home and how related.
The Census is a "Head Count" conducted by who knows. I will tell them how many people live here, Period. I am willing to pay the $100 fine for not answering those invasive questions.
The American Community Survey is very intrusive and goes on for a whole year. They pester the crap out of you. You can be fined $5K for refusing to do it. I did the one in 2010 and don't plan on doing it again.
I doubt that a census might be conducted out here. The density is just too low. You could drive 100+ miles and only contact half a dozen homes. It would be OK where you have subdivision-like development and could walk, house to house.
During the last census, they left a packet on the door of my great grandparents house. It has been vacant since 1972. It is in the middle of nowhere behind a locked gate and a half mile from the road. They must look at satellite photos to find these structures.
They ask your age and your birth date. I will give them my age. Not so sure I will give them my full name either. To much info given to who knows. I feel that the Census is a "Count" of the people. They don't need such personal information.
