Why not? I guess I don't understand why anyone would object to being counted. I don't really know what all the questions are this year, but I can't imagine any that I would object to answering. And of course, I'll be polite to any census taker because he/she is just doing the job they were hired for.

To many personal questions in my opinion. They want name, age, date of birth, sex, phone number, mortgage or not, Latino or not, Race, and name of second person in home and how related.
The Census is a "Head Count" conducted by who knows. I will tell them how many people live here, Period. I am willing to pay the $100 fine for not answering those invasive questions.
The American Community Survey is very intrusive and goes on for a whole year. They pester the crap out of you. You can be fined $5K for refusing to do it. I did the one in 2010 and don't plan on doing it again.
