Micropilot, I think Lynn is probably describing your sensation. Try this experiment sometime; find a shallow (6-8") depth and narrow ditch and drive across it at a diagonal direction. If one of your wheels loses contact with the ground you may fell a lurch until the tractor catches traction again. This happens fairly frequently to me when I cross a ditch to go into my garden plot on the other side of the dirt driveway. Willie Jones

I will add to the last post that even in 4wd that this can happen if crossing something ruff enough to cause one front and one rear wheel to lose contact (they just spin).
