Also most unapproved motor vehicles are not permitted to be operated on public roads.
Don't be as I could have missed it a bit myself.Hey LB, Sorry I thought we were discussing wether or not a tractor had to be titled. Not if it was road legal or be operated on public roads - I guess I miss understood.![]()

What city were you located at in OHIO.
I've always been at Marietta.
I am a little confused. If a tractor is not considered a "motor vehicle" by one's state, anymore than their lawn mower is, or their wheeled cement mixer is, than searching the DMV (or Sec of State) websites for title/registration information is back to the issue raised by Byrd earlier.
It isn't there because it isn't. It isn't a motor vehicle, and isn't going to be discussed. It isn't titled, licensed, or tagged by the DMV, so why mention it?
Why would anyone be surprised that tractors aren't mentioned? Neither are lawn mowers or a half dozen other things. Shall we search for the meaning of those things as well?
The Dept of Ag might mention tractors, sure. Tractors are Ag or construction vehicles. Off road. Period. Whatever rules there might be concerning operation on or along roadways, as a tractor moves from off road site to off road site, is governed by statute or motor vehicle codes.
This seems clear to me.
My wifes uncle lived in Akron from the 30s till he retired about 25 years or so ago.Inquiring minds want to know.... I was born in Cleveland, OH. Lived between Cleveland and Akron - Macedonia. Drove past Marietta many times back and forth to NC on 77. Left because I was tired of dark skies and SNOW!!![]()
