I want to pull out a large shrub with a 3-inch trunk. I have a shrub grubber chain and Grade 43 3/8-inch chain. I know to throw a blanket over the chain. Is the best attachment point to the tractor to hook the chain around the swing drawbar pin?

Do you mean the 3 pt lower link arm? That usually swings. The Drawbar is usually stationary with a bunch of holes in it for mounting hitch balls, etc.

I actually meant the drawbar. Is that the strongest attachment for a chain? How should you best attach the chain to the tractor?

With a Clevis. 'U shaped forging with a securement bolt that secures it to the drawbar. TSC has them or any farm related store.

It does, but I can't get access across a ditch and dense pines around the back. I can loosen dirt first with a shovel. Thanks for the advice.
