Loader Chain Grab Hooks

   / Chain Grab Hooks #21
I don't seem to share the enthusiasm some have for hooks, bolt on or weld on. I prefer the slotted angle iron so chains will hook into it from the front or back of the bucket and it adds strength to the top of the bucket. Mine is welded on but I suppose a person could bolt it on also.

Some hooks are better for straps, rope or cable. Lots of hitch attachments.

Hmmmm,I'm thinking there's room for a new line of products. Dale's Slots and Rings. I'm especialy fond of the one that can accomindate various attachments by simply pulling a pin. :drink:

One could always make a simple ring with a "T" bracket on it to drop in slot if you needed a loop....

I was frustrated that I wanted to have a couple of rings for running chain through and most of the hardware store loops/links just did no fit the bill.... So I made them, 1/2 stock wrapped around 3 inch O.D. pipe, overlapped and welded... Angle iron in picture is bolted to front crossmember of tractor frame .... Also have same shackle and ring arrangement on rear chassis draw bar... Both were put in place so I don't have to pull on FEL or 3PH for some serious yanking...

Had thought of putting receiver hitch on angle instead of shackle because there is all sorts of "tools" that plug in to receivers today...

So am I to believe today's store bought gas cans don't fit your needs either?

I have found the receiver hitch on the tractor bucket most handy. Not only for various hooks and loops but other attachments.

Pintle trailer hitch for moving and dumping army trailer on the farm. Ball hitch for smaller trailers and log splitter.

Bale spear for round bales.

Vise mount. Has saved trips back to shop for repairing water lines. Some equipment repairs hard to bring into shop.

Barb wire roll reel.

Shop crane. Sometimes need precision lift/placement for repairs.

Platform carrier for 12v sprayer. Can see level and securely strap down poly sprayer.

Working on hydraulic polesaw. Reinforced receiver hitch welded to brush grapple frame.

Yep, I put a receiver hitch on the brush fork frame:
