Give it a try. Find a bar and proper chain and you are off. Note that some chains will have less kickback potential but cut slower. :thumbsup:
Many times the Box store saws come with a bar that is too long and a chain that has fewer teeth. Looks good but cuts slow.
If you have a chain that dulls really fast it may have been overheated in the past.
