Jinma 224 (sold) Kubota B-7510
Hello everyone, just wanted some info on chains for a Jinma 224 4x4 3cylinder with turfs...the rear fenders look real close to the tire and was wondering if the chains will work without damaging the fenders. If they will work some contact info on a supplier would be helpful also....need chains for snowblowing and "skidding" trees...thanks everyone

I have a 224 with turfs and chains. The chains are for a truck/bus tire size 9.00 x 20 tire or 10.00R 22.5 (basically the same size tire). I got mine for free from a buddy. They work pretty good and I have no complaints. I do have my rears a installed to the wider size just by swapping the wheels. I used it all winter and had no clearance problems as long as you make sure chains are tight right from the start.
I'm sure you can just type in a search for tire chains and come up with many web sites that sell them. They do not work well on Ag tires as the chains sit low in the lugs and make little advantage.
Take a ruler and measure the circumference of a tire and get approximate width and give them a call.
Here is a pic of my chains.

here's one http://www.tirechain.com/

Ok. Your business then, but I personally wouldn't even consider chains for anything but metal fenders

Mine are fiberglass and I measured 3 1/2" clearance between tire and fender. I got mine tight to begin with and did not have any problems period. They are great when its icy BTW. End of story.

How many hours do you have on your tractor Harry? I've got about 230 on mine and except for the earlier problems around that deaded 50 hr mark, it's running great..Take care...

John, great to hear from ya.
I'm at the hunderd hour mark. I guess she is still a virgin.............. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifLOL....I don't use mine as much as you do with two properties. I do have two tractors so that keeps my hours lower also. I have been so far satisfied. No leaks whatsoever that many complain of. I only wish my car had had so little leaks. LOL.
