Chains Chains for TC40DA R4s

Blue got jewelry for Christmas! It only took a couple of days for the chains to arrive, but just had time today to get them mounted. They were harder to mount than the chains I had on my Ford 4000, basically because of the fenders.

I didn't do a perfect job of getting the chains centered, but I'll run them a few days and see how they fit. I only have about 2" of clearance between the inside links and the fender. I'll watch the chains and make sure they are tight. I don't expect to be running at high speed with these on.

I find that the chains clank a little on the fenders, but more seriously, watch out for your chains rubbing the 3 pt hitch adjusting arms. With my rear blade, the arms have to be out to within 1/2" of rubbing on the chains. Last year I actually bent an adusting arm when it got too close to a chain while plowing. I wasn't too happy about that.

Would mounting your tires farther apart solve the chains hitting the arms? I know the TC 40 can have 6 different positions.
