check out your hands when you saw. look specifically at your thumb. is it wrapped around the bar, good! or is it resting on top the bar, bad. number one cause of injury is kickback. thumb on top and you hand will slide off during kickback. wrap your thumb around the top handle and keep you arm straight and the saw, if it kicks back will go up instead of rotate towad you. while i am at it keep your big old head to the side not on top of the cut. in a kickback you will move your head but the saw will hit your shoulder. always keep all body parts out of the possible arc of the bar. be careful!
